| Where Do You Belong on this Map? In the 1950s or 1960s were you or your family living anywhere in an area represented on this map? If so, you are probably a Downwinder. A Downwinder is any person who lived in the path of the radioactive fallout from the nuclear tests the United States government conducted at the Nevada Test Site (NTS) during those years. These experiments were conducted with no concern for or warning to the citizens as to the deadly consequences. The radioactive fallout was monitored by the government throughout the entire testing period. They were well aware that the fallout was hitting the entire contiguous United States. They knew of the danger because they were conducting nuclear tests simultaneously in the Marshall Islands where people with radiation sickness and other diseases were being tracked, "helped," and monitored closely. Downwinders who have been stricken with certain diseases as a result of the fallout are eligible for compensation if they live in a few selected counties. Justice for Downwinders believes that any Downwinder (those hit with the fallout) stricken with one of the eligible diseases should receive compensation regardless of where they are from. We also believe that additional factors should be considered, for example, whether other diseases should be covered as they are for the Marshall Islanders. |

| Who We Are Justice for Downwinders is a group of friends and relatives who are Idaho Downwinders seeking justice for ALL Downwinders - those who have already suffered and those who will suffer in the future as a result of the nuclear fallout in the 1950s and 1960s. We are a non-partisan group whose volunteers have various backgrounds and interests, but we all want justice for Downwinders. Justice for Downwinders is a volunteer group that does not seek to make a living off those who have suffered as a result of the nuclear fallout. However, we will accept donations to help with postage and other out-of-pocket expenses. Better yet, use your "donation" to buy stamps, make copies, send out letters, and do other things to help get the word out about the fallout and the need for justice. |

It gives short summaries of some of the ridiculous things that have gone on in the past and recently regarding the fallout and related subjects. News to Use contains information on planned actions that people should be aware of, should study for themselves, and should take action on as necessary. |
